Program FAQ

Yes. Tool certifications and most intro classes are included with membership. A few multi-session or materials-heavy courses (like Beginning Woodworking) have a small fee, but members get a discount.

Start with a free tour, then take Intro to 3D Printing or the electronics badge build — both are designed for absolute beginners. You'll leave with something finished and a plan for your next project.

Absolutely. Kids' Tinker Lab runs Saturday mornings, and open make nights and repair cafés welcome young makers with a supervising adult. Kids under 14 need an adult in the building.

Yourself and closed-toe shoes. Tools, safety gear, and materials for intro classes are provided. For bring-a-project nights, bring whatever you're working on.

Yes — members can teach, and community members can host. Pitch your idea to our programs director at hello@lighttree.space and we'll help you make it happen.
